The Leven branch of WHSmith is to close next month, the retailer has confirmed.
Staff were told last Friday that the long-standing branch would shut it doors for the final time on October 24.
A spokesman for WHSmith said: “We can confirm that the WHSmith store in Leven will be closing at the end of October.
“Unfortunately, we are unable to continue to trade viably from this location and the decision has been taken to close the store at this time because of the forthcoming lease expiry.”
The store currently employees six staff.
WHSmith did not comment when asked if other Fife stores would be closing.
