Police in Fife are appealing for witnesses following a public indecency in Methil.

The incident happened around 4pm on Thursday, December 3 on South Street.

A 37-year-old woman was walking in the area when a male approached and exposed himself to her.

The woman returned home and reported the matter to police who are now urging anyone who can assist with their ongoing inquiry to come forward.

The suspect is described as white, early 20s, with a medium build.

He was wearing a blue zip up coat with the hood up, a Burberry style scarf, jeans, and trainers.

Detective Sergeant Kieran Marsh, of Levenmouth Police Station, said: “While the woman was not injured during this incident, she was left very shocked and shaken, and we are pursuing various lines of investigation to trace the male responsible.

“Anyone who saw anything suspicious in the South Street area around 4pm on Thursday, or who can help us identify the suspect is asked to contact police immediately.”
