Witness appeal following serious assault in Kirkcaldy

Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was thrown from a car in Kirkcaldy

The incident happened near to the Beveridge Park roundabout at around 4.45pm on Wednesday.

A 40-year-old woman was involved in an altercation with a car driver.

Police say she was thrown from the car then dragged a short distance before falling to the ground.

Officers are now appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward.

DS Sammy Davidson said: “We are taking this incident extremely seriously as it left the woman badly injured.

“I understand from the victim that there were a number of cars directly behind this vehicle at the time.

“We are following a positive line of enquiry but we are keen to trace the drivers of these cars.”
