A 15-year-old was rushed to hospital with head injuries following a road accident in Buckhaven last night (Thursday).
Police have appealed for witnesses to a road collision in Buckhaven which left a teenage boy injured.
The incident involving a car and a pedestrian happened on Kinnear Street, Buckhaven, at around 5.40pm on Thursday.
The car involved was a Vauxhall Corsa.
The teenager was taken to Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy suffering from head injuries which were later described as ‘not life threateneing.’
Police Sergeant Brian Morgan said: “I am keen to hear from anyone who was in Kinnear Street yesterday around this time, whether on foot or driving.
“The teenager sustained serious injuries in the collision from which he is expected to make a good recovery.
The road was closed from the top of Wellesely Road to Church Street to allow emergency services access to the area.
Officers renewed their appeal for witnesses to get in touch.
