Woman in hospital after Quarry Road crash

A woman has been injured in a crash near Kirkcaldy after a car ended up in a field.

The vehicle left the road shortly before 10pm last night near the junction of the B9157 and the A909.

Police Scotland confirmed that they had been in attendance after the incident along with the Scottish Ambulance Service.

The woman was taken to hospital after the crash.

A Scottish Ambulance Service Spokesperson said: “We received a call at 2157 hours on Sunday 21 January to attend a road traffic collision on the A909 between Kirkcaldy and Burntisland.

“We dispatched two ambulances to the scene.

“One female patient in her sixties was transported to Victoria Hospital, Kirkcaldy.”
