A woman suffered only minor injuries after her car came off the road and collided with a tree, before overturning this morning (Friday).

The incident, involving a Peugeot 206, happened just before 10am on the nortbound carriageway of the A92 between the Preston roundabout and Tullis Russell roundabout.

The road was closed following the accident, which was attended by ambulance crews and the fire service, which assisted in cutting the woman free from her vehicle.

Diversions were put in place during the closure, and the road re-opened at 11.54am.
