Work finally starts on Dysart wall repairs

Work to fix a wall which collapsed in Dysart '“ leaving a road closed for nearly SEVEN years '“ has begun.

Local contractor John O’Donnell & Sons started work on the wall, which runs along the side of Edington Place which leads onto the High Street, earlier this week and councillors paid a visit to the site this week (above).

It’s expected the work will last approximately eight weeks and once completed will re-open the road.

It will come as good news to residents and business owners in the part of town who have been left without through-access since it collapsed in December 2009.
