Two local youths aged 13 have been detected by police in Levenmouth for spates of vandalism.
The incidents occurred in Leven where graffiti was spray-painted onto prominent landmarks in the town, including the sea wall at the Promenade, which had derogatory language applied to it. It has since been removed at a cost to Fife Council.
PC Gordon Latto, area ward officer for Leven, said: “I am pleased the persons responsible have been traced and reported. Our Local Action Plan ‘Shorehead’ is designed to prevent and detect antisocial behaviour in the area.
“Our aim is to make Leven a safe and pleasant area to visit. We don’t members of the public or visitors to the town being exposed to this type of vandalism.”
