A new £24 million Game of Thrones attraction is coming to the UK - here's what to expect
Game of Thrones fans will be happy to learn of a new attraction based on the hit fantasy TV show, which could soon be opening in the UK.

Hide AdThe attraction will be based on the epic book series a Song of Ice and Fire as well as the much watched TV show, offering visitors the chance to fully immerse themselves in the novel universe.
Where will the new attraction be based?
The new attraction is planned to be built at the Linen Mill Studios in Banbridge, Northen Ireland.
Armagh City, Banbridge and Craigavon Borough Council in Northern Ireland. have recently accepted proposals for a £24 million Game of Thrones tourist attraction to be built in their district.

Hide AdMany scenes in the TV series were filmed in Northern Ireland, such as in Castle Ward in County Down, as well as The Dark Hedges and Cushendun Caves in County Antrim.
What will feature at the attraction?
The site will feature sets and props, and give visitors insight into the behind-the-scenes action and the intricate editing which gave the show its famous special effects.
The iconic Winterfell will feature as a walk through set, alongside Cersei’s favourite courtyard in the sunny King’s Landing.

Hide AdAdditionally, fans will be able to walk into the Dragonstone’s Throne Room and Map Room to feel like they are plotting to take back the iron throne, as well as enter Castle Black’s Mess Room.
The attraction will run daily tours, which will kick off with a "pre-show experience" prior to visitors exploring the attraction.
There will also be a cafe designed to replicate the film studios where actors and extras would have ordered food and drink from mobile catering vans.
When does the site open?
Since plans for the new site are in the preliminary stages, it is not yet known how much tickets will cost or exactly when the new attraction will be open to the public.
