New trailer for Mamma Mia! follow up film released
A new trailer for Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again has been released, featuring many returning characters and beloved British actors.

Hide AdThe sequel will be released on Friday 20 July 2018, almost exactly 10 years after the first Mamma Mia! film hit cinemas.

Based on the songs of Swedish pop group, ABBA, the original production brought in more than $600 million globally at the box office.
Amanda Seyfried, Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan, Dominic Cooper, Julie Walters and Colin Firth will all reprise their roles from the first film.

Hide AdNewcomers to the cast include Lily James (Cinderella, Baby Driver) and Cher.
Returning to the Greek island of Kalokairi where Mamma Mia! was set, the plot of the new film flashes back and forward in time to show how relationships between the characters were forged, and to show how the present mirrors the past for Sophie (Seyfried) and those around her.

Hide AdOl Parker (writer of The Best Exotic Marigold Hotel) writes and directs the sequel from a story by Catherine Johnson, Richard Curtis and Parker.
The musical will feature newly arranged versions of classic ABBA songs, including Angeleyes and When I Kissed the Teacher.
