The car prize giveaway company BOTB is offering free tickets to win a VW hot hatch - here's how to get them

With 320bhp, a 0-60 time of 4.6 seconds, and a trick all-wheel-drive system, the Mk8 Volkswagen Golf R could be all the car you ever need.

True to its roots, and as a successor of the first ever hot-hatch, the Golf R has plenty of room for a family and their luggage, but its turbocharged engine can excite you in ways only a hatchback can.

BOTB is offering it as their star prize in a new promotion and, while you'd normally have to pay somewhere around a quid to enter a prize draw to win a car like this, you can now have a free entry ticket.

All you need to do is sign up to BOTB. Just give them your email address and phone number, you don’t need to pay anything. If you want, you'll get reminders of other promotions, new prizes, and special offers. And you could be lucky enough to win your very own Golf R.

If your entry proves to be the winner and if, for some reason, you don't want the car, you could instead choose to take away a £26,000 alternative cash prize.

The draw for this car closes on Boxing Day and the winner will be announced on December 27.

Other prizes worth checking while you're on the BOTB site include the new Christmas cash offers, in which you can win one of tens of thousands of prizes, up to £25,000 in cash, for £1.99 per ticket.

BOTB's Spanish villa giveaway is also live, and you can win your very own paradise pad for just £2.99.
