2016 play-offs - Flyers fans will bring the noise!

Fife Flyers fans have been urged to be loud and proud at this weekend's play-off finals.

They have travelled to Nottingham in huge numbers for the sold out showcase event - and in the hope of seeing Flyers lift the silverware.

The team goes head to head with Nottingham Panthers at 5.00 p.m. on Saturday, and Stewart says the team values the noise from the stands.

He said: ‘“It’s an exciting weekend, and hopefully we have as many fans both Fife and adopted there to cheer us on and take away that home feel for Nottingham.

“It’s their barn, but a crowd on our side can sway that at times. We wont look too much into though as our main priority is to remain focused the whole night and get the job done.’’

Stewart said the players were ready to hit the ice - and know what they have to do.

“This specific group of guys are already motivated and excited for the weekend. They know what is at stake,’’ he added.

“Our jobs as coaches are to prepare them as best we can and make sure we keep our emotions in check, and stick to our game for 60 minutes. After that, its the players who will go out and do the business and determine our success by executing and competing all weekend.’’
