The 25-year-old Fifer squares up against UFC veteran Joe Lauzon (27-12-0), who is tied with Nate Diaz as having the most post-fight bonus awards in UFC history.

Ray (20-6-0) has won four of his five fights in the UFC thus far, with wins coming over Marcin Bandel, Leonardo Texeira, Mickael Lebout and, most recently, Ross Pearson.

The contest is set to be Ray’s biggest, and toughest, fight to date against an opponent who has spent over a decade competing in the UFC.

However, this will be an opportunity for the former St Andrews High pupil to make a big marker in the lightweight division against a fighter ranked seven places higher in 20th.

Lauzon will also be competing for the second time this year, with the first fight being a decision win over Marcin Held at UFC Fight Night 103.

UFC Fight Night 108 takes place on Saturday, April 22 from the Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
