Club is on target thanks to new kit

St Andrews Rifle Club has spent the summer month renovating its clubrooms and rifle range and upgrading the range facility to full electronic targetry.

Financial help from the National Lottery through Sports Scotland Awards For All enabled the club to install the latest Meyton Electronic system and bring the club facility alongside only a very few in Scotland who have now moved up to international shooting standards.

The new system will enable both junior and senior members to shoot both .22 prone rifle, and .177 air pistol and rifle at the club.

A club spokesman said: “Our new season begins on October 1 and we are all very much looking forward to the first round of competition using the new electronic system.”
