Back-up netminder Blair Daly will return for an 11th season at Fife Flyers.

The 27-year-old goalie has been a mainstay since joining Flyers from Edinburgh Capitals in 2005, and is a firm favourite with the fans.

Daly was the club’s first choice netminder for six years in the Northern League but has spent the past four years as back-up in the Elite League.

He will again provide cover for an as yet unsigned import netminder during season 2015-16.

A Flyers spokesman said: “Blair got the chance to display what he is capable of in our challenge match against the Romanian National team back in April and he has also performed well every time he has been called upon during the regular season.”

“Blair works hard off the ice to stay in shape and is a popular guy in the room. He has a good work ethic and professional approach to the game and his training regime.”

Daly added: “I am delighted to be back with the Flyers. It really is a fantastic organisation to work for and I am delighted to be a part of the team again.”
