Dutiaume (42), has been an integral part of the organisation since signing for Mark Morrison in 1999 – an unbroken record which is sure to make him the longest serving import in the club’s history as a player and coach.

He enjoyed Grand Slam success as a player in the BNL, and won several league and play-off titles as a coach in the SNL - now he has his sights set on delivering silverware in what will be the club’s sixth season in the EIHL.

After missing out on last season’s Gardiner Conference title by the narrowest of margins to rivals Braehead Clan, and leading the team to the EIHL play-off finals weekend in two of the last three years, the Winnipeg native is relishing the prospect of another season at the helm.

Dutiaume said: “Last season was very physically and emotionally gruelling, but at the same time it was one of the most rewarding, as it turned out to be our most successful season in the Elite League to date.

“I have always been extremely proud to be a part of the Flyers organisation and I am very honoured to be returning for my 19th season.

“The achievement of reaching the play-offs the last four years and the play off weekend for a second time in three seasons, and narrowly missing out on the conference due to a tie breaker, along with the enthusiasm and support of the Flyers supporters, has only increased my driving desire to bring the success we all crave and deserve, back to Fife in this upcoming season.

“As always we will see some changes and fresh faces associated with the team this year but my first priority is retaining a core of this squad, and then to look to bring in the fresh personnel that will be pivotal in helping us achieve our goals.

“The long summer of recruitment begins now.”
