Eilidh reaches Rio semi-finals
The Pitreaview AAC runner made smooth progress to the semi-finals of the event, despite the overnight athletics programme being held back by heavy rain in Rio.
The 29-year-old comfortably won the sixth and final heat after a half-hour delay in the fifth fastest time.

Hide AdThe disruption and conditions seemed to affect the hurdlers as the first round was marked by slow times, but Doyle looked solid as she came home in 55.46 seconds.
The semi-finals are due to take place early on Wednesday morning, with Doyle hoping to go one better than London four years ago, when she also reached the semi-finals.
Since then, she has won European gold and her second Commonwwealth Games silver medal.
