Falkland Trail Runners celebrated their inaugural award prizegiving ceremony

at Falkland Community Hall on Saturday where just under 100 members were in attendance.

Earlier in the day, though, four members competed in the Path of Condie Half Marathon.

The event, hosted by Kinross Runners, attracted just over 150 entrants.

The tough hilly course with some wonderful scenery saw Colin Sommeville (unattached) crossed the line first in a time of 1hr 21 mins 18 secs.

First female finisher was Carnegie Harrier Joanna Murphy in 1:29:37. Falkland Trail Runners were brought home by Vicki Taylor, 41st in 1:44.7 followed by David Dunlavey, 77th, 2:17.53, Rosie Lee 98th, 2:18,:48, Issy Smith 98th, 2:18,48 amd Nikki Wood 102nd, 2:24,22.

At the local 5k Parkruns, only four Skwerlz were in attendance at St Andrews with Brian Cruickshank finishing second in 18 mins 57 secs,

Tony Martin sixth, 20mins 21 secs, Susanne Lumsden 74th & 19thF 27.28, and Andy Cameron 96th 29.34. At Kirkcaldy, Lyndsay MacKay finished 33rd and 3rd female in 24.30 with Sandy Adam two places behind in 35th in 24.39.

On Sunday two members competed at the Jedburgh Running Festival.

Iain Donaldson and Kirst Archibold competed in the fourth Jedburgh Three Peaks 38 mile Ultra Marathon.
