Big Matt Nickerson is heading back to Fife Ice Arena ... to take on his old team-mates.

The hugely popular enforcer will be with his new side, Belfast Giants in a pre-season challenge game confirmed for Saturday, August 29. It has a 7.15 p.m. face-off.

Tickets go on sale from Monday, August 10 at the rink box office.

Nickerson’s return will certainly draw in the fans, but he’ll ice against the side where he was the enforcer over two seasons.

Giants are expected to bring their full team with them to Scotland for a pre-season schedule which also takes them to Dundee on the Friday night.

The match will also see the wraps come off Flyers’ own new-look side which is still being announced - the club still has several key signings to be unveiled over the coming weeks.

Todd Dutiaume’s side will also travel across the Forth to play Edinburgh Capitals on Sunday, August 30, before opening their 2015-16 EIHL campaign at home to Coventry Blaze on September 5.

Tickets for the pre-season game are £14 for adults, £10 for concessions and £7 for juveniles (15 and under).
