Kyle Follmer will NOT be joining Fife Flyers, head coach Todd Dutiaume has confirmed.
The move has been on the verge of collapse since it emerged that the 29-year-old American defenceman had his application for a UK visa denied.
With three weeks of the season already passed, Dutiaume has now confirmed that the deal is dead and plans are in place for a replacement.
"Kyle Follmer won't be joining us," Dutiaume said. "It's very disappointing, but it's something out of our control."
Flyers have drafted James Isaacs as temporary cover although his short-term contract is due to expire after the weekend.
"We are currently talking to James about his future," Dutiaume added.
