The Aberdeen youngster has slotted in to Rovers’ formidable attacking line-up that has helped them to third in the Championship table after seven matches played.

The 19-year old Scotland youth international says he’s been loving life in Kirkcaldy since first joining the club and is learning so much from his teammates and coaches.

He said: "I'm absolutely loving it here.

"I've said it since day one when I came in, the boys have made me feel very welcome and I feel like I fit right in to the team with the style we play.

"Smudge (Paul Smith) and the gaffer have been brilliant with me as well and I think that's getting shown by the way we're playing on the pitch as a team - we're all together and moving the ball well and the attacking play is so good.”

Ross put in another good performance last Friday night in Rovers’ 0-0 draw with Ayr United at Somerset Park but was unable to help the visitors find a breakthrough in a match where it was keeper Jamie MacDonald rather than the forwards who stole the show.

"We've got to look at it as us being a new team in the league and Ayr has always been a tough place to come in the Championship.

"At the same time though we are disappointed not to come away with the three points but you have to give a mention to Jamie MacDonald who pulled us out of a hole a couple of times with some great saves and was deservedly named man of the match.

"Jamie's been brilliant for us, I've obviously only come in the season and you can see the real experience he has having played at a good level.

"He's always there and will make some great saves for us, a few of the attackers have been getting the headlines this season with our assist and goals but it's always great when you've got a solid keeper in the goals and a solid back four."
