AM Soccer reach player participant milestone

Since football was given the green light to resume from lockdown on July 13, AM Soccer Club has welcome a total of 10,000 footballers through its gates at the Friday Soccer School.

The total was reached this week when seven-year-old Murray Steedman laced up his boots to take part.

Daniel Mason, AM Soccer Club co-ordinator, said the youngster described his experience as “very exciting” with the small sided games being his favourite activity.

Daniel added: “It’s an incredible milestone in the short space of 124 days, which is testament to the hard work of the club, who do everything they can to provide a safe environment for children and youths to play football.

“The club would just like to say a huge thank you for those that continued to support us during times of hardship, as well as everyone else that is a current or a new member, for being a part of the club.”

AM Soccer Club runs tots sessions for kids age 3-4, SoccerOne for primary 1s, Soccer Schools for kids age 5-7, and teams from under 8s all the way up to under 19’s. It also offers walking football classes for over 50s.
