The early stages were relatively even with both teams comfortable building play but unable tofashion a clear chance.

The visitors were set up with an extra man in midfield but their resulting three at the back was an area AM were keen to exploit.

Sean Grant looked the likeliest and on 20 minutes he was in behind the defence but from a tight angle he lifted high over the crossbar.

It would be the visitors who would take the lead when a corner dropped inside the six yard box and AM missed two attempts to clear the ball before it was lashed into the net.

The home team would then rely on Pratt in goal to make two excellent saves.

The equaliser arrived just a couple of minutes before half time when a slightly overhit cross had the Rosyth keeper scrambling to touch the ball onto his crossbar but Porteus was first to head home.

AMsoccer emerged a far more composed side for the second half and it was to become a story of simplicity paying off as they dominated possession and created goal scoring opportunities.

Michael Reilly put AM in front when he judged another deep cross well and nipped behind the outstretched goalkeeper to make it 2-1.

AMsoccer’s most prominent threat had been Sean Grant down the left side and he would add himself to the score sheet, picking up the loose ball after the goalkeeper had denied Lawson.

The final goal would also go to sean Grant, this time a swift counter attack released Macaulay on the left and his early delivery was in behind a tiring Rosyth defence and into the path of Grant, who side footed his team to victory.
