As it happened: Ayr United 1v 1 Raith Rovers

Last updated: Saturday, 20 March, 2021, 15:21

Thank you for joining us for this afternoon’s match between Ayr and Raith Rovers in the Championship.

It’s the third and final meeting this season between the two sides in the league, with both previous matches ending 0-0. Let’s hope for some goals today!

How Ayr line up today...

The Raith Rovers team...

Four changes for Raith today. Musonda replaces the suspended Davidson, and Duku, Vaughan and Gullan come in as Spencer, Kennedy and Ugwu drop to the bench.

Five minutes to kick off

Raith hoping to get back to winning ways, with only one win in five. Ayr will be looking to mark new boss David Hopkin’s first home match in charge with a victory.

David Dickinson is today’s ref (!).

Kick off is fast approaching.

Ref Dickinson blows the whistle and Rovers kick off.

Raith being a bit erratic with their passing so far. A lot of hoofed long balls with very little quality on show so far.

That’s better. Good move between MacDonald, Duku and Vaughan whose through ball is just a bit too far for Armstrong. Far more encouraging though.

Still 0-0. Neither side with a proper effort on goal yet.

Good chance for Ayr. Mackenzie fluffs a header from close range. Could have easily been a goal.

Vaughan had a shot but it was skied high. Still 0-0.

One of those games where the ball seems to spend more time in the air than it does on the deck. It’s been pretty poor so far.
