Chris Macpherson will lead his side out at Davie Park on Saturday to face Blairgowrie in the first McBookie.com Premiership North fixture since the coronavirus pandemic brought the 2019/20 season to an early conclusion in spring.

While our East of Scotland League sides have been back competing for some weeks now, frustratingly, the junior clubs have been on the sidelines watching on while fixtures were arranged.

Tayport have played a succession of friendly fixtures over the past few weekends so will be fit and ready for kick off.

A scheduled weekend friendly with Stoneyburn, though, was called off.

Macpherson has added to his squad ahead of the season’s start with defender Michael McArthur (19) joining from Livingston on a season long loan.

The club has also confirmed that Luke O’Brien has gone out on loan to Arbroath Vics while Tom Whyte has been made available for transfer.

Tayport’s first home game of the season will take place behind closed doors on November 28 when Brechin Vics arrive.
