Glenrothes Gazette territory junior clubs are on their travels this weekend with all three journeying outwith Fife for tricky away fixtures.

Kennoway Star Hearts head to Angus, where they will look for a seventh consecutive away win against a Forfar West End side currently seventh in the North Division.

Star are on a great run of form that has taken them into second place in the table - the top two are automatically promoted to the Premier League - in what is turning into a dream debut season in junior football for the Treaton Park club.

The side currently chasing KSH for the second promotion spot, Blairgowrie, play host to Thornton Hibs on Saturday.

Craig Gilbert’s Hibs side have taken 13 points from the last 15 available, and will fancy their chances of bringing three points home from Perthshire.

Not quite so far up the A9, Glenrothes will be looking to get back to winning ways at Riverside Stadium, the home of Jeanfield Swifts.

Glens defeat to Dalkeith last week ended a run of four consecutive league victories and dented their hopes of entering the East Premier League promotion race.

However, with Jeanfield currently in second place, a victory for Glens on Saturday would see them close to within six points of their opponents with three games in hand. Saturday’s matches kick-off at 2.30 p.m.
