Bathgate Thistle 3-1 Kennoway Star Hearts

An assured start from the visitors allowed KSH the majority of possession without really testing Penman in the home goal.
The first real chance came from a set piece.
A corner swung in from M.Gay found the head of Partridge and the defender powered a header towards goal only to see it scrambled clear.

Wilson was on hand at the edge of the box to smash a low shot into the net.
Bathgate were still finding it difficult to impose themselves into the game as the end of the half approached HT 0-1
The opening minutes of the second half was a direct contrast to what was witnessed in the previous forty five. Thistle pressed high and gained a free kick just outside the penalty area within a minute of the restart.

From the resultant corner Taylor looped a header over the ‘keeper for a quickfire equaliser
This was to prove a turning point as Bathgate swept up-field and saw a cross-cum-shot from Henderson take a deflection and wrong foot Paterson as the ball squirmed into the net.
Clearly rocked by the manner of the goals conceded KSH started to over commit and a slack pass from defence saw Dalrymple produce a dazzling run as he powered past a few players and struck a low shot into the corner of the net.
