Boss sure of a Fife response
East Fife tasted their first league defeat since November at the hands of Alloa Athletic on Tuesday night, going down 3-0.
With the squad stretched, and key players including Pat Slattery, Kevin Smith, Tony Wallace and Kyle Wilkie missing, the damage to the squad proved a bridge too far at the Indodrill Stadium.

The Fifers return home on Saturday, when Darren Young brings his side to Methil.
Smith says he has full confidence the side can return to winning ways right away.
He said: “We got punished for making mistakes but I don’t think we should forget how well these boys have done for me since I’ve come in.

“We know we can do better and that starts on Saturday.
“We never got to high when we were on the run we were on and it’s now about getting a response on Saturday and I’m sure I’ll get that.”
