Robertson also had a penalty claim waved away, while Stewart McConnachie saw an effort saved by the home ‘keeper.
The Whitton Parkers then began to exert themselves.
Kesson had a couple of misses, one effort being well saved by Sorley, who also kept out the dangerous McLellan.

Hide AdOn 35 minutes, when Tayport’s Kieran Conway had a header cleared off the line, Broughty broke up the park and Scott should have opened the scoring for the hosts, only to shoot wide.

On 53 minutes, they broke the deadlock. McLellan was the scorer, gliding through to net from a tight angle, after ‘Port had given away possession.
