Opponents Arniston have also made a positive start to the campaign and they currently sit just one point behind Tayport, both clubs having played seven matches.

Strangely, Arnie have won all four of their away matches is term, yet taken only one home point, from an opening day draw against Haddington Athletic.

Gaffer Ovenstone hopes to have a full squad from which to select.

Jamie Mackie missed out against Dalkeith a fortnight ago and he will be hoping for some involvement tomorrow, as will club captain Scott McDowell.

McDowell came on as a substitute against Dalkeith and may have to settle for a similar role at Newbyres Park.

‘Port will be looking to front-men like Dale Reid, Alan Tulleth and Liam Ross to continue to get among the goals, as the Canniepairt outfit seek to establish themselves in the promotion race.
