At the other end of the spectrum, both Thornton Hibs and Kennoway Star Hearts are battling the spectre of relegation from the East Premier League.

Glens were scheduled to be in action last night (Tuesday) as we were going to press as they hope to close down a 10 point gap on leaders Blairgowrie.

Crucially, Andrew’s side have two games in hand.

Attention will then swiftly turn to the weekend’s fixtures.

Glenrothes host fellow promotion hopefuls, second placed Downfield.

Kennoway Star Hearts and Thornton Hibs are desperate for points for other reasons.

Kennoway, who have as many as seven games in hand on some clubs above, are hovering fourth bottom of their division but know their fate is in their own hands.

They entertain Haddington.

Bottom club Thornton, adrift by 11 points, are at Oakley United.
