(After Extra Time)

Cupar Hearts’ cup dreams went from bad to worst last Saturday after they were dumped out of the Fife Cup at the hands of Auchtermuchty making that their second cup defeat in three weeks.

Then Gary Sutherland did well to get through on goal and he unselfishly squared to Steven Pennington only for the referee to blow for offside.

The visitors’ first real effort on goal came on the half hour mark when Greg Honeyman’s cross was blasted over by Liam Kelly with his first touch.

Three minutes into the second half Bellvue were reduced to ten men when Steven Cruickshank was given his marching orders after a 2nd yellow.

Cupar took advantage of their extra man and took the lead on the hour mark.

A long throw by Morgan Dow was headed on to Lee Sibanda who fired in from close range.

With only a minute remaining Bellvue grabbed an equaliser to take the game into extra time.

A free kick was fired in by visiting goalie Mark Robertson catching Hearts ‘keeper Ian Rann off his line.

Straight from the restart the sides were level when player-manager Lee Sibanda was sent for an early shower after a bad tackle saw him receive his second caution.
