Cupar Hearts extended their winning run to five games when they faced an improved Balgonie Scotia side.

Player/manager Lee Sibanda was missing through suspension but there was a welcome return for Kyle Watson from injury who captained the side and led the way with a hattrick.

The visitors were reduced to 10 men with only nine minutes on the clock when Andrew Gourley lashed out.

Hearts opened the scoring through Kyle Watson before Gary Sutherland netted another.

Scotia pulled one back on the half hour mark when Ryan Kelly was left with a free header.

Just before the break Watson grabbed his second.

He completed his hattrick on the hour mark when he fired in off the post.

Balgonie nicked a second goal through Ryan Kelly when his left footed strike beat ‘keeper Jason Inglis.

Hearts substitute Jakub Dobes made his presence felt when he entered the fray and within a blink of an eye changed the game from being in the balance at 4-2 to making sure the game was in the bag with a quick fire brace.

Cupar concluded the scoring with 10 minutes remaining when Stephen Lawlor who blasted in a well-deserved goal.
