The last game between the sides saw an ill tempered affair with three red cards issued as Kennoway ran out three one winners.

Both teams were needing wins with Kennoway looking to keep competing at the top of the table while Dundee were scrapping for points as they look set for a relegation tussle.

The KSH rearguard were having to work hard to protect their clean sheet and a clearance from Rolland was vital as Dundee Violet pressed for an opener.

Kennoway took the lead after fine build up play from Craig created the opportunity for Shaw who gleefully took his chance to steer the ball home. Minutes before half time KSH were awarded a penalty when C Gay was needlessly fouled inside the penalty area.

Band stepped up and drove a low shot to the `keeper’s left only to see the Dundee shot stopper save his effort.

Paterson in goal for KSH was constantly cajoling his team mates as they worked hard to ensure any chances for the home side were kept at a minimum.

The move of the match was to bring the second goal and it was a goal of simplicity as Davidson swept the ball out to Craig wide right. The winger then drove at the defender and hit the by-line before playing an inch perfect pass for M.Gay to knock the ball home from ten yards.

M.Gay then had a chance to add to his tally but his effort sailed over the crossbar as KSH were looking to seal the three points.

The game was finally put to bed when C.Gay was again impeded in the box for another penalty, this time Simpson took the responsibility as he showed great composure sending the `keeper the wrong way for an expertly taken penalty kick.

Kennoway - Paterson, Rolland, Doig, Partridge, Brewster, C.Gay, Shaw, Craig, Byers, M.Gay, Band.

Subs - Wilson, Simpson, Mann, Sutherland, Davidson.

Next game is away to Armadale on Saturday.
