On the back of six squad members penning new deals last week, another two of last season’s squad have now also signed on.

Scott Russell became the seventh player to choose to stay with the club, extending his contract until 2022.

Russell said: “Really happy to get this deal over the line.

“Thoroughly enjoyed my time at the club this past year so signing up for another year was a no brainer.

“Can’t wait to get back playing again.”

Tireless midfielder Craig Watt will also line up for Glens next season, also extending his stay with co-managers John Martin and Kevin Smith.

Watt said: “Delighted to have signed an extension to my contract, more than happy to play my next seasons under Johno and Kev.

“Buzzing to get back playing and kick on for promotion.”

Glens this week found out who they’ll line up against when their East of Scotland League Conference B begins again.

There will be a few Fife derbies to look forward to, with Burntisland Shipyard, Lochgelly Albert, Lochore Welfare, Newburgh and Oakley United also in the division.

Kennoway Star Hearts and Thornton Hibs will face each other in the Conference A.

Joining them are Kirkcaldy and Dysart, St Andrews United and Rosyth.

No set date has been confirmed yet by the East of Scotland League for the season to kick off.

But with the Scottish Championship, plus leagues one and two, starting in the middle of October, it’s hoped others can begin around this time also.
