East Craigie 3-2 Tayport
One of Scotland’s oldest junior clubs, the Shipbuilders are enjoying a cracking season on the league front and promotion, in some style, is on their horizon.
Clearly a confident outfit, they battled with great grit and determination and Chris Macpherson’s men could have no complaints about the outcome.

Baird was fouled by Kris Rollo inside the box and Johnston scored the resultant penalty kick.
Midway through the half, Tayport goalkeeper Jack Shaw had to save from goalscorer Brown.
But it was only a temporary reprieve as the forward then cut in from the right and beat Shaw with low drive into far corner of the net, to double his team’s lead.

On 50 minutes, a Shaw corner was touched on by Rollo, with Mackie well placed at the far post to fire the ball home and half the deficit.
Then, on the hour, Dayle Robertson beat centre-half Brannan and raced clear in on goal.
His shot hit the post but, at close-range with the goalkeeper and a defender also on the scene, the ball rebounded into the net for the away side’s leveller.

Their third counter of the afternoon, like their first, came from the penalty spot, after MacLeod had tumbled inside the area. Howett duly netted and it would be East Craigie who would go into the hat for the next round of the competition.
