But, despite there being no Methil support inside Stark’s Park at the weekend, forward Ryan Wallace says the squad is determined to give them something to cheer about from home.

The visiting players will have the East Fife support firmly at the forefront of their minds when they face John McGlynn’s men with Wallace saying it’s “frustrating” they remain locked out.

Wallace, whose stunning goal wrapped up a 2-0 win for East Fife over Cowdenbeath on Tuesday night, said: “It’s a massive game for the club.

“The last time we played them they beat us 5-3 so that will be in the minds.

“John McGlynn will have them well drilled and well organised so we know we need to go there and be at it from the off.

“It’s obviously frustrating that we can’t get the fans in but we need to follow the guidelines and make sure everyone is safe before the fans come back in.”
