Jamie Insall has set his sights on shooting East Fife back into promotion contention before heading back to a Championship challenge with Hibs.
The on-loan striker has impressed since joining the Bayview club on a short term loan from the capital side.
Insall, who returned to the Fife starting XI at the weekend following a two game suspension, is looking to add to the one goal he’s already netted in the black and gold.
East Fife slipped five points from the promotion play-off zone after being beaten 2-0 by Clyde at Broadwood on Saturday.
But the on-loan Hibee is aiming to do his part before returning to Easter Road by shooting the Methil men back into contention.
He said: “I still train at Hibernian every day but by coming to East Fife I’m getting some game time now.
“The gaffer has a lot of faith in me which is great and I want to try my hardest to pay that back.
“Hopefully I can get another four or five goals while I’m here and help East Fife to the top of the table.”
It was a frustrating afternoon for Insall and strike partner Nathan Austin at the weekend as they were largely snuffed out by the Clyde defence.
“We went to try and win the game,” said the forward.
“To be fair individual errors haven’t helped us.
“As a team we were confident going into the game and were confident about getting the three points.
“In previous weeks we haven’t had the luck but against Clyde we just weren’t the better team.
“The boys are on a bit of a run now which is a bit different to how they started the season.
“But we have faith in our own players and think we can turn this around by training hard.”
