Raith Rovers will kick off the 2015-16 season with a short trip to Cowdenbeath in the first round of the Petrofac Training Cup on July 25.
While East Fife face a stern early test with a visit to Championship side Falkirk.
Cowdenbeath start the season as a League One club after their relegation last term, but Raith boss Ray McKinnon will be looking to get his tenure off to a successful start and avoid a repeat of last season, when Rovers were knocked out in the first round of the competition by League One Dunfermline.
Meanwhile, the Fifers will be massive underdogs against beaten Scottish Cup finalists Falkirk but Bayview boss Gary Naysmith will be hoping to put on a good display and perhaps spring a surprise.
The competition, often known as the Challenge Cup, is for teams outwith the Premiership and stand-out tie of the first round is clearly Hibernian versus Rangers at Easter Road.
