The East Region Junior League has decided to bring a halt to the current season.

The decision comes following a conference call last night with the region’s management committee.

Yesterday afternoon the Scottish FA announced that its decision to play no matches at any level until April 30 had been extended into June.

Tayport Juniors this morning said: “Following the announcement from the SFA Response Group, the East Region management committee held a video conference meeting tonight (Thursday) and can confirm that due to the shutdown being extended to the 10th June 2020, all remaining league and cup fixtures are now cancelled.

“Further details on the leagues will be issued as soon as possible.”

Inevitably falling advertising revenues will start to have an impact on local newspapers and the way we continue to work during this period of uncertainty.
