Starting with the same 11 as their two previous wins, KSH made the worst possible start.

A long ball played from deep inside United’s half looked to have caught several players in an offside position.

But the referee waved play on and Edinburgh took the lead with some controversy.

Gradually the away side started to create openings of their own and a Watson cross into the penalty area caused the home defence some problems.

A marauding run from Wallace saw the full back feed Watson with the ball.

The wide man picked out Bryce with a pin point cross only to see the striker’s header hit the side netting.

Minutes later a clever run on the left saw Collins drift past a few defenders before cutting the ball back to Bryce on the edge of the penalty area.

The striker hit a shot towards goal only to see the arm of the uniteddefender divert the ball to safety.

Despite their claims for a penalty the referee again waved play on.

The start of the second half saw KSH on the front foot.

A sweeping passing move involving Collins, Balmer and Kay saw the ball arrive at the feet of Bryce just inside the left hand side of the penalty area.

A flashing drive narrowly missed the target.

A ball from the united right back into the Kennoway penalty area saw the ball break to the home striker who saw his shot cannon off his team mate then wide.

Kennoway were dealt a hammer blow when Mair received a second yellow card then red for a foul with 20 minutes remaining.

Walker was introduced from the bench looking to add to his three goals in his previous two substitute appearances. He almost made an immediate impact when he pounced on a loose ball eight yards out but his shot on the turn was deflected wide.

The best chance for an equaliser fell to Balmer. Again some quick intricate passing in midfield allowed Collins to surge into an attacking area, the midfielder picked out Balmer with an inch perfect cross only to see his header miss the target.
