Emma set for a half century
Buckhaven's Emma Mitchell looks set to break through the 50 cap barrier for Scotland at the forthcoming Cyprus Cup.
The Scottish Women’s National Football side arrived for the tournament on Monday as part of their preparation for the UEFA Euro 2017.
The Scots have played in the tournament in nine out of the last 10 years, finishing fourth on two occasions in 2011 and 2014.
Scotland will play against New Zealand, Korea Republic and Austria in Group B, with their final placing determining who they play on the final day.
The group of players is similar to the one that was selected for two matches against Denmark in Cyprus last month where Scotland drew on both occasions.
Included is Arsenal left back Emma who heads into the tournament on 49 caps.
The first game, against New Zealand, is scheduled to be played today (Wednesday).
Emma looks set to be part of Anna Signeul’s Scottish side which will compete at Euro 2017 in July and August in a group along with England, Spain and Portugal.
