The Fifers introduced new signing, Fern Newbigging, a young striker and Scottish Internationalist from Celtic, with under 15 Niamh Gavin and under 17s Sara Davidson and Holly Roberts also joined the squad.

Four minutes before the break the Fife striker doubled her tally when she lashed home.

Falkirk responded well and found a way back in to the game from the penalty spot.

After a tense half time team talk, Fife looked to up their game and out the tie to bed.

Newbigging and Skivington was causing a number of problems and Guppy and Dickson were linking well down the left.

The third goal came on 52 minutes from Skivington as she met a Graham corner with an excellent header into the top corner.

Determined to get her fourth, Skivington did find the net on 70 minutes hitting an excellent right footed shot in off the inside of the post.

Fife introduced their three youngsters to the match seeing Davidson making her senior debut.

All looked more than comfortable in the first team and the immediately found their feet in the game.

The final action of the match was to be Falkirk’s, however, as another fast counter saw the home striker race through.

Anderson was confident that she had pushed her wide enough of goal to stop the shot, but the striker somehow found a fabulous left footed strike that sailed across the goal and found the top corner on the 90th minute.

Manager Liz Anderson said: “We are in a funny position as it appears we have won the league but we are still waiting for the league to decide on the result of our Tayside game, after they failed to appear for our game a few weeks ago.

“We can however win it this coming Sunday as second placed Dunfermline visit King George.”
