The news was confirmed in a statement released by East of Scotland side Burntisland Shipyard, with the association’s Annual General Meeting and dinner for this year also cancelled.

Raith Rovers had reached the semi-finals courtesy of a 4-0 win over Shipyard in August, while Dundonald Bluebell were also in the last four after a 3-1 victory over East Fife in October.

Cowdenbeath had booked their place courtesy of a 4-0 win over Kelty Hearts in October, while the other quarter-final between Hill of Beath and Dunfermline Athletic was still outstanding following the postponement in November.

In addition, Burntisland reported that the board of the East of Scotland League has agreed to cancel this season’s League Cup meaning the club’s second round tie against Stirling University has been shelved.

The Shipyard statement added: “No decision has yet been made on the completion or otherwise of the league programme as the board discuss the situation with other leagues and await further instruction from the relevant authorities.

“Another EoSFL Board meeting is scheduled for April 2 where more information will hopefully be forthcoming.

“Social gathering restrictions also mean that group training sessions have been cancelled with the club “more or less locked down.”

All football in Scotland remains postponed until April 30 at the earliest.
