Scott Small scored YM's consolation goal.

The home side were still in with a chance with only ten minutes to play but unfortunately conceded two late goals.

Blackburn went ahead after only two minutes when Fraser Spence headed home.

Despite numerous chances the visitors could not breach a solid YM defence in which keeper Jordan Mushett made several key saves.

Midway through the first half YM carved out a chance and Scott Small saw his shot shave the post.

The visitors then went two ahead on 25 minutes with John Drummond scoring.

The second half proved to be a more open affair and YM deservedly pulled one back with a fantastic strike from Small which gave United ‘keeper Gavin King no chance.

With 10 minutes remining the visitors secured the three points with a third goal scored by substitute Ross Donnelly.

In injury time they scored a fourth when a low cross from the right was headed home by Daniel Campbell.

In the end Blackburn deserved their win, hoever the final scoreline flattered them a bit.
