Kennoway Star Hearts made the trip up to Forfar for this North League fixture on a fine day for football.

It took only a minute for KSH to create their first chance,McAllister’s cross met by Murdoch but his header was straight at the ‘keeper.

Boylan then sent a header just wide from a Kerr Brown cross before the first goal of the game came in the ninth minute, Lornie cutting the ball back for Roberson to slam home.

The Forfar goal was being peppered and a Sean Murdoch header was cleared off the line before Boylan’s volley from the edge of the box drifted wide.

With 24 minutes gone KSH doubled their lead. Murdoch was played in by Robertson with the centre half showing great ability, turning and firing into the corner of the net with the ‘keeper rooted to the spot.

Liam Craig almost made it three with a great run, but his deft chip came back off the woodwork and was cleared.

Kennoway ‘keeper Curran was then called into action when the Albion number 10 pounced on some slack defending, but his effort was well blocked by the KSH custodian.

Towards the end of the half, Forfar did have another couple of efforts but Curran dealt with them comfortably.

It was one way traffic at the start of the second half as KSH looked to add to their lead.

Chances were going a begging with Murdoch having a header saved before Robertson sprung the offside trap but the ‘keeper saved low to his right.

McAllister’s header from a Craig corner was then cleared off the goal line for another corner . This time Craig’s corner was only half cleared and McAllister collected the ball on the penalty spot, turned, and hit a tremendous left foot strike into the net.

Forfar went straight up the other end and had three efforts within five minutes all saved by Curran.

With eight minutes to go though Ryan Robertson beat the offside trap and managed to nick the ball past the onrushing ‘keeper.

Field completed the scoring for KSH, slotting home Boylan’s pass.

With five minutes to go Forfar were reduced to 10 men after a nasty challenge on Murdoch.

Boylan then rounded off proceedings hitting a superb 20 yard volley in off the underside of the bar.
