Five star Rose thump '˜Port

Last Saturday afternoon saw visiting Linlithgow Rose run out comfortable 5-1 winners leaving hosts Tayport languishing in the relegation zone.
The opener came when Tommy Coyne finished expertly.
Tayport responded five minutes later when Dale Reid swept the ball over to Alan Tulleth who deceived the ‘keeper and stroked home the equaliser.

Hide AdParity lasted only a matter of seconds as Linlithgow went straight back up the park and d Colin Strickland netted.
Strickland scored again on 40 minutes when he latched onto a high, bouncing ball into the heart of the home defence and guided his effort past Sorley.
Tulleth went close for ‘Port just before the break, while Sorley made a save from Strickland’s header.
With the wind behind them, Dale Reid and Alan Tulleth both tried their luck from distance with the latter forcing a fine save from Adams.

Hide AdIt was, however, the Rosie Posie who netted the next counter. Midway through the half, a cross from the right was perfect for Tommy Coyne and he planted a point-blank header into the back of the net.
Rose completed the scoring courtesy of substitute Conor Kelly after another defensive lapse.
