Hibs had five different scorers in what ended up a convincing 5-1 win over Scone Thistle.

Mathew Gay’s left foot shot from 10 yards gave Thornton a 27th minute lead but just three minutes later it was all square after Richard Doig netted from the spot.

Just before the interval, Aiden Gordon’s made it 2-1.

In the 53rd minute, the Hibs doubled their lead.

Garry Thomson headed Hibs further in front.

Another cross from Gordon afforded Chris Ireland the opportunity to make it four then deep into stoppage time, Ian Main netted from close range to complete the scoring.

On Saturday Hibs welcome Lochore Welfare.

Kirkcaldy YM’s game at Penicuik Park was not one for the faint hearted, and certainly was no dull end of season affair as the sides played out a 2-2 draw.

YM took the lead when Andy Wilson netted before Stevie Forbes made it 2-0.

But Penicuik pushed defender Scott McCulloch up-front and the big man pulled a goal back and then grabbed an equaliser.

With the clock ticking down McCulloch was afforded the chance to net his hat-trick from the penalty spot only to blaze over the bar.

On Saturday YM travel to Dundee Violet.

Dundonald kept up their promotion charge as they won 3-1 at home to West Calder.

Carr, Duffy and Main were the scorers for the Bluebell.

The win means that Dundonald need three points from their last two games to go up. On Saturday they travel to Stoneyburn Juniors.
