For the remainder of the first half KSH had the upper hand with G Gray,Wilson and Band all going close with efforts on goal.

The deadlock was broken ten minutes before half time when in form striker Wilson raced through and calmly lobbed the advancing home keeper from eighteen yards.

A much more positive West End started the second half and they drew level within five minutes of the restart.

A slick passing move saw a chance for Hart to equalise, the big striker picked his spot and slotted past Paterson.

The game was played a frenetic pace as both team`s were eager for a win. G Gray then saw a shot smothered by the home keeper from close range. Forfar then saw a long range shot clip the post and thankfully for Paterson away to safety.

Band was the next player who was denied after his shot looked goal bound only to be cleared by a defender on the goal line.

At the other end the impressive Doig again showed his recovery in the tackle popping up to make vital interceptions.
