In the sixth minute a long clearance from Rovers keeper, Barclay, found Allan in the final third and he did well to square across goal to the back post.

Ketchen had made a great run to get on the end of the cross but was stretching and couldn’t keep his effort under the bar.

Rovers took the lead in the 22nd minute with a fantastic individual effort from Max McCarroll when he gathered the ball in his own half and set off on a surging 60 yard run.

He then cut inside and slammed the ball past the Kingdom ‘keeper to put Rovers 0-1 up.

Five minutes after the restart Rovers continued to go forward and were rewarded when Ketchen put them two goals up.

Kingdom pushed to try and restore parity but Smith, Wilson and MacKenzie were in commanding form in the Pittenweem defence.

With the clock ticking down Allan got Rovers third goal of the game when he hit a speculative shot.

It looked like an easy stop for the Kingdom ‘keeper, but he seemed to take his eye off the ball and it squirmed through his grasp.

Next week, Rovers are at home to Auchermuchty.
